CANCELLED – Open House and BBQ

The Burns Lake Community Forest (BLCF) Board and Staff have come to the decision to cancel the 2023 Open House and BBQ due to the wildfires in our community. With many of our community members being evacuated, put on evacuation alert, and fighting these wildfires; BLCF feels a large celebration is not in the best interest of our community.
In lieu of an Open House, BLCF has decided to use the food purchased for the event to donate meals to our local (and non-local) Firefighters, Contractors and Equipment Operators working on wildfires, and to the Evacuees and Volunteers. Supporting our community through this difficult time is BLCF’s priority.
The BLCF Board and Staff would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to everyone involved in every capacity of fighting these wildfires and protecting our community. Everyone please stay safe during this difficult time.
