Burns Lake Community Forest is seeking a contractor that has experience and/or is willing to take on the exciting and challenging role of steep slope harvesting in the Lakes District using Winch-Assist technologies.
Interested parties will then be invited to participate in subsequent Invitations to Tender.
As an organization, you must have extensive harvesting experience, in interior and/or coastal settings, with conventional or high-lead rigging, implementing clear-cut and/or partial harvest techniques. Clearly, experience with winch-assist technology would be a considerable asset, however, is not required.
Expression of Interests will be received until the deadline of 4:00 p.m. on July 15th, 2019 at 153 Francois Lake Drive, Burns Lake, B.C. or Box 788, Burns Lake, B.C., V0J 1E0.
Submission must include a one-page summary of your company and an explanation of why you are the right company for this opportunity!!

As part of your submission please include the following:
- Company Proof of Safe Certification by BC Forest Safety Council (Note: Professional Services that are deemed out of scope may be exempt from safe certification at the discretion of company.
- Resume(s) of principal(s) or a corporate resume
- List of contracts completed for the last 3 years
- Two references.
**Note: Safe Company Certification is only a requirement for forestry related works. All other companies must have WCB # and have registered business number.
